Ecuadorian President wonders if there will be an outrage towards the bullying received by Pamela Aguirre
The Ecuadorian President, Rafael Correa, asked on his Twitter account if “someone in the women’s movement will be outraged” towards the bullying received by Pamela Aguirre”. His tweet was a reference to a previous message by the ex-legislator, Diego Ordonez, which criticizes Pamela Aguirre, who is the spokeswoman for a movement that seeks the reelection of Rafael Correa.
Pamela Aguirre, who was adviser to Assemblyman Juan Carlos Cassinelli, told to newspaper El Comercio, that she has been a subject of death threats and sexual assault since last Thursday when the Constitutional Court agreed to process the movement request to start a process to repeal the transitional Constitution that prevents the President Rafael Correa in postulating for a fourth presidential term.(I)
