Ecuadorians will go to Brazil to meet with the Pope
On July 23 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will be celebrated the World Youth Day, established by Pope Juan Pablo II in 1985 as an appointment of faith, hope and union that will receive young people from all over the world, including a large Ecuadorian delegation already preparing for the anticipated trip.
Numerous delegations of Catholic communities plan the trip and have organized groups to attend the meeting with Pope Francis. These global meetings are held every two or three years. The last world youth day was from the 16 to 21 of August 2011, in Madrid, Spain.
In many parishes of the country, young Catholics have hired tours and travel packages and gather each week to plan proposals that shall be brought to Pope Francis. The trip will be between the 15 of July and the first week of August. Those wishing to join delegations might approach their closest parish.
