Deep water
The port of DP World in the Posorja parish of Guayaquil offers facilities for the operations of deep-draft vessels , with a length of 300 to 366 meters. This is due to its depth of more than 16 meters, which allows the entry of Post Panamax ships , the largest in the industry, loaded at maximum capacity.
CMA CGM will have 11 ships in constant rotation between Posorja and the ports of China, Japan and Hong Kong . Carlos Merino, CEO of Dp World in Ecuador said that in three years of operations, the level of operation of the national port industry has been raised. In addition, he assured that it was possible to “position Guayaquil and Ecuador as one of the most important hubs on the West Coast of the South Pacific.”
