Edward Snowden remains without asylum

According to the official website of WikiLeaks, the former analyst of the CIA, Edward Snowden, has not yet “formally” accepted the asylum offer made by Venezuela. This was after a Russian legislator caused a lot of confusion about the legal status of the former analyst that still resides in the transit area of an airport in Moscow.
“The States involved (in the asylum applications of Snowden) will make the announcement when the time comes. That announcement will be confirmed by us,” said WikiLeaks, the controversial website founded by Julian Assange.
On Tuesday, the legislator Alexei Pushkov, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Lower House of the Russian Parliament, said through Twitter that Snowden had already accepted the proposal of asylum from Venezuela. However the message was deleted by Pushkov himself after half an hour.
