Posted On 05 Dec 2011
Egyptians are voting in run-off polls resulting from the first round of the new parliamentary elections.
The Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party earned 36,6% of the 9,7 million ballots from last week polls. The Salafist al-Nour Party had 24,4% of the votes.
This are the first elections held in Egypt since the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak. Two-thirds of electoral districts have yet to cast their vote, such elections will be made in December and in January. (AV)
