Supreme Court of Egypt is against the new parliament
The Constitutional Supreme Court of Egypt declared this Thursday that the parliament created after the legislative elections is unconstitutional. According to the court the Islamist deputies form most of the parliament.
“The Constitutional Court confirmed in the detail of its verdict that the parliamentary elections were not constitutional and that all the composition of the parliament is legitimate since its election,” according to the official agency.
According to military sources, this decision would legitimize the legislative powers that the army has. (AV)
