El Universo and Bonil answer
In the editorial note as well as its space for the cartoon, newspaper El Universo, in today’s edition, published his position and that of its cartoonist, Bonil, regarding the statement made by the presidential duo Correa-Glas.
The newspaper claims it did not actually use the right to reply but the discussion ended being published by the newspaper asking that it “apologizes to them in the terms written by them.” It remembers to warn the dangers that loomed when the terms of the Code of Democracy was discussed, “by the risk that would limit the freedom of journalistic work in the electoral period leading to self-censorship,” which is what is happening.
Meanwhile, Bonil in his space, drawed a hand that appears to be that of a king, with the thumb down, saying: ‘I don’t like it‘, while an executioner is preparing to cut his head (the of Bonil), and the public is heard saying: ‘Aaay San Copipeist, save me from the cartoons.’ Inside is a long text, which states the following: ‘This is not a reply, that is ventriloquism, trying to force him to commit plagiarism by using the words of others…‘ And finally, under the cartoon it reads: ‘I just hope that this episode gets Cornered in the Vago … remember.’
