El Universo Case: Quiroz Sets Date for Hearing

The cassation hearing date on case El Universo was set for Friday of February 10 at 09:00 (GMT) as one of the last actions of judge Luis Quiroz in his post as magistrate of the National Court of Justice (CNJ for its Spanish acronym). According to El Universo Newspaper, in the National Court of Justice, people close to Quiroz said that they know nothing about this new turn of events, since judge Enrique Pacheco continues to be ill so he was not able to sign the document.

After 19:00 (GMT) other sources informed the Court assured that the notification of the last decision made by the Second Criminal Chamber would be delivered today to the judicial offices of parties. (AV)
