El Universo Regained Credentials to Coverage in Presidential Palace

Yesterday, the National Communications Secretariat (Secom), made the official presentation of credentials of El Universo Newspaper to access to the news coverage at Carondelet Palace.

Fernando Alvarado, head of Secom, asked El Universo, as a condition for the delivery of the credentials,  to send a letter explaining a correction in a caption published by the media where a person appears with two different names, but with different pictures of the person.

El Universo never sent any communication, however the team work of the journal went yesterday to Carondelet to see if Secom had accredited a reporter and four photographers. Alvarado went personally to hand over the identifications.
