Electoral process began with convicted prisoners voting

At 09:00 yesterday, the election process was inaugurated on the 35 detention centers and 8 juvenile offenders’ centers across the country.
According to the National Electoral Council (CNE), 4,583 people voted, although a total of 8963 voters were eligible to vote. People who were able to vote were those who have no final judgment.
The counting of votes will begin at 17:00, when polls are closed. The results are recorded in a registry, which will be sent to the respective Provincial Election Delegation.
The results will not be released until tomorrow.
