Executive Approved Tele-Communication’s Law Project
The Ecuadorian National Assembly received yesterday by the Executive the draft of the new Organic Law of Telecommunications and Postal Services.
This law, with 179 articles and 9 general provisions, seeks to establish the regime of rights and duties of media, the establishment and operation of networks for the provision of telecommunications services, including radio and television, and also, the use of radio spectrum.
Likewise, it will regulate the powers of the State for management, regulation and control, and user protection to ensure universal access to telecommunications services and information and communication technologies.
This document, seeks to promote Ecuador’s technological development and progress towards the Information Society and Knowledge.
