Facebook Will Not Pay More Money to Winklevoss Twins
Posted On 12 Apr 2011
Brothers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, who were classmates with the Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg at Harvard, will have to settle for the 65 million shares they received in 2008 after a legal battle against Zuckerberg for “stealing their idea” of the most important social network on the Internet.
As the twins realized Facebook is becoming more valuable on Wall Street (65,000 million), they argued the company had not been transparent in its settlement (today Facebook’s price has tripled its value) so they demanded 100 million more. However their request was rejected because the previous agreement is already in force and must be followed as originally agreed.
