Farmers ask $38 for the rice

Rice farmers want a growth in the official price of the sac that contains 200 lbs, from 34,50 to 38 dollars. They asked for this yesterday during the reunion of the Consulative Advise in Guayaquil. 

In conversations with Expreso Diary, Washington Núñez, producer from Los Ríos and member of the National Corporation for Rice Farmers, stated that there are two principal reasons for asking this adjustment: the increase in 20% of the wage´s costand the increase of some supplies (although most of the agrochemicals have stable prices).
