Father Francisco and “Vatican G8” meet to reform the Curia
Starting today until Wednesday, father Francisco announced the reform of the Curia. The Government of the Church, which will meet with the Council of eight Cardinals, in the so-called “Vatican G8”.
Meetings are carried out every morning and evening in Santa Marta, where Pope Francis resides, who will be absent on Wednesday morning to attend the traditional general audience.
In the previous gatherings, the Cardinals came to the conclusion of the need to draft a new Apostolic Constitution Pastor Bonus. They will also explore the possibility of the unification of the Pontifical Councils, as well as the issue of the economic structures of the Holy Branch, including the Vatican Bank.
Vatican “G8” is formed by the Cardinals Giuseppe Bertello, Francisco Javier Errazuriz Ossa, Oswald Gracias, Reinhard Marx, Laurent Monsengwo Pasinya, Sean Patrick OMalley, George Pell and Andres Rodríguez Maradiaga.
