The International Monetary Fund (FMI) is worried about the global economic scene and it is making adjustments to the growth projections this year. The number two of this organization, David Lipton, warned yesterday about the major risks and the possibility of a global economic deflation caused by a lower demand in energy consumption accompanied by lower prices.
“The risks have grown, caused by the volatile finantial markets and low cost of raw materials creating new concerns regarding the health of this global economy”, said Lipton in a coference held in Washington, United States”. (I)
