Four contracts for $ 18 million start the investment career of 2016
The productive year started with four new investments approved in the Production Sectoral Council of 2016, which took place this week in Manta. The four projects total $ 18 million and will generate 177 new jobs in sectors such as petrochemicals, metalworking and industrial, according to the statement of the Coordinating Ministry of Production, Employment and Competitiveness, headed by Vinicio Alvarado.
Among the four contracts, the petrochemicals company Carvajal SA Empaques SA VISIPAK will contribute with 6.7 million for the construction of a plant in Duran to manufacture plastic packaging for the food industry. In the same area JV & H-Ecuador SA will invest, in Yaguachi, another $ 2.6 million. Industria Harinera del Pacifico SA, in Manabi, proposes $ 6.4 million for oil and fishmeal. Finally, Industria Ecuatoriana de Sistemas de Iluminación, in Quito, will invest $ 2 million for LED lighting system.
