Guillermo Lasso has his support because “we do not believe in capitalism exploiting man or communism or state socialism that do the same,” says the mayor of Guayaquil and leader of the Madera de Guerrero movement, Jaime Nebot, in interview with Hoy Newspaper. On it he reiterates his support for that candidate because he believes in democracy, the independence of the branches of government, freedom of opinion and freedom of entrepreneurship.
Nebot gives special importance to the election of assembly members, since he believes that a good number will enable him the development of positive laws for citizens as whereas an effective control task, especially since at present there is no such action.
He speaks of the need for a clean electoral process, in which ethics and attachment of the law are imposed, beyond the parties and movements to develop a process of self-control, it is presented as contrary putting “additional hindrance” to the media to limit their work, and says he is in favor of an improve of the Human Development Bonus, because those who are under the extreme poverty line have to be helped, but believes that the way to give such help should be different. “We can give books, medicines, operations, lands at half price“, precise at time of being in favor of an increase funded from the general budget, “so that everyone pays in proportion.” (MZ)
