Government exempts taxpayers from Manabí and Esmeraldas from paying the Income Tax advance

Ecuadornews:

Taxpayers,whose tax residence is in the provinces of Manabí and Esmeraldas and who develop productive activities in those jurisdictions, are exempt from the payment of 100% of the Income Tax advance, for fiscal year 2018.

The Government ordered the measure through executive decree, as reported by the National Communication Secretariat, this Thursday November 22, 2018.

According to the statement, people who have payed the tax advance may request the refund of the amount paid, according to current regulations.

The Internal Revenue Service will establish, by resolution, the requirements and conditions for taxpayers who do not have a tax domicile in Manabí or Esmeraldas to avail themselves of the provision. (I)
