Government increases vaccination capacity to 57,000 daily doses
In his official social media accounts, President Lenín Moreno celebrated that the National Government managed to increase vaccination capacity. Starting this Friday, April 23, 57,582 Ecuadorians will receive the covid-19 vaccine on a daily basis and nationwide.

The President’s request was to reach the goal of 50,000 beneficiaries on each vaccination day.
“Only if we #NosCuidamosTodos, we will be able to face the covid-19. Let us do it with responsibility and discipline,” the President wrote.
A historical milestone
The President’s announcement follows the Executive’s efforts to increase the number of people immunized daily. The request of the President was to reach the goal of 50,000 vaccinated per day, a figure exceeded this Friday.
On April 22, the head of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), Camilo Salinas, explained that the day had 90 vaccination points and 40,002 doses, between first and second doses that were destined for older adults, National Police and Forces Armed Forces (Armed Forces), people with disabilities and dentists.
In the capital it is estimated to vaccinate around 4,000 dentists in seven days, who belong to unions and are in free professional practice. The Nueva Aurora Luz Elena Arismendi Pediatric Gyneco-Obstetric Hospital is also designated as a vaccination point in the capital.
