‘Guacho’ has another name in the list of Legal Medicine of Colombia

The body of Walter Patricio Arizala alias ‘Guacho’ still remains in the Colombian Institute of Legal Medicine, but in his identification is Luis Alfredo Pai Jiménez, Colombian media reported this Saturday, January 12, 2019.

The identity was unveiled after the fingerprints that were made to the body, says the Colombian media. His name appears in row number 43, along with his ID number issued in Tumaco, Nariño, and states that he entered on December 22, 2018, that is, one day after it was announced, by the Colombian authorities, which was killed ‘Guacho’, in a military operation, adds El País.

The name of Walter Patricio Arizala Vernaza is recorded in the records of Ecuador as being born in Limones, Esmeraldas, on November 9, 1989. On December 21, 2018, the president of Colombia, Iván Duque, assured that ‘Guacho’, chief of the self-styled front Óliver Sinisterra, had been killed in an operation developed in a jungle area of Tumaco, in the department of Nariño, near the border with Ecuador, by the Army, the Police and the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) of the Prosecutor’s Office from Colombia.
The dissident was accused, among other crimes, of the kidnapping and subsequent murder of Efraín Segarra, Javier Ortega and Paúl Rivas, members of the newspaper team EL COMERCIO, in April. He is also credited with the murder of Katty Velasco Pinargote and Oscar Villacís Gómez, a couple of Ecuadorians who were kidnapped last April when they were traveling through the province of Esmeraldas, on the border with Colombia.
On the other hand, when consulting the ID number in the civil registry query siystem (available on the National Registry page), it can be seen that Luis Alfredo Pai Jiménez has registered his birth in the Tumaco (Colombia) office of the Registry “on March 3, 2016 with serial 0056939165”, says RCN.
The document number, he adds, corresponds to a citizenship card, that is, to the identification of a person of legal age, as it appears in other official records, such as the Background Certificate of the Attorney General of Colombia. In August 2018, there were already indications that ‘Guacho’ also used that identity, according to a file of the General Prosecutor of Colombia, revealed at the time by Red Más Noticias.
Said file contained a photo of the card of a man similar to ‘Guacho’, records of his fingerprints and a document from the Civil Registry that identified that person as Luis Alfredo Pai Jiménez, born on August 8, 1989 in Tumaco (Nariño) , Colombia), refers RCN. (I)
