Guayaquil City Hall Closes Capwell Stadium

Emelec George Capwell stadium was closed

Today the Guayaquil City Hall sent an order through the Municipal police which closed the George Capwell Stadium. Gabriel Vinueza, the 7th Municipal Commissioner took the measure, after informing that Emelec showed that they have not made any payments to the Municipal tax debts that they owe from the years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.

The problem has been present for more than a year, because the representatives of Emelec promised to make the correspondent payments. However this has not been fulfilled and hence they were sanctioned. (AV)
