July is the month that remembers the foundation anniversary of the city of Guayaquil, the main economic port of Ecuador.

Mayor Jaime Nebot plans to introduce today the schedule of openings and contracts signatures that will be held to honor the city in this festivities.

Guayaquil will start its 477 years foundation festivities at 10:00, with a civic parade of the Children’s Recreation community centers to be developed along 9 de Octubre Avenue (downtown). Retreats will also be presented in at least six squares and parks of the city.
Bands such as the Metropolitan Police, Navy, National Police, the FAE, among others will be part of the show.

From Friday until today at the Simon Bolivar Convention Center, the event  “Guayaquil Gastronómico”, has shown tipical dishes to visitors.

Yesterday there was a musical parade of schools in the city, among them there were the School Duran, Dolores Sucre and Liceo Cristiano de Guayaquil. About 160 guards of the National Transit Commission participated in the closing of streets and in the protection of the people participating in the parade.
