Posted On 08 Feb 2017

Guillermo Lasso, presidential hopeful of the CREO-SUMA alliance, toured yesterday Tungurahua. In Ambato, he held a meeting with students of the Catholic University.
His central message was the creation of a million jobs. Henceforth, his cornerstones are the elimination of taxes, the capitalization of the Banco de Fomento to promote agriculture and livestock, the creation of the first venture law, as well as declaring Manabi and Esmeraldas free zones, in addition to the development of the tourism and health sectors.
He said that today the Government has no money for works, for that reason the proposal to create the health free zone is to give incentives to invest in new hospitals, which will be exempt from paying the income tax for life, in exchange for the delivery of the 20% of the installed capacity for free service to the beneficiaries of the social assistance program.
Regarding the disappearance of more than $ 2.5 billion of balance sheets from the IESS health fund, he said that this is a habit of this government.
