Guillermo Lasso’s wife would work on a drug prevention program

Guillermo Lasso, candidate for the Presidency for the CREO-SUMA alliance, began yesterday his activities in the company of his wife, Maria de Lourdes Alcívar. Unlike other days in which she would join the presidential hopeful at mid-morning, on the Women’s Day she joined him from 07:00.
On board the “lassomóvil,” a van covered with the propaganda of the candidate, the pair arrived first at Águila radio, in the south of Guayaquil, where he mentioned some campaign proposals; Then, they went to Radio Rumba, where Alcívar also participated in the interview.
There, she revealed that the candidate, upon arriving home, after a campaign day, only seeks rest, after “giving accounts” of how the day was when she does not accompany him.
The fact that Lasso and his wife are always together is not a campaign strategy, explained the hopeful. Rather it is an everyday aspect, which has now become public.
They had breakfast at the Café de Tere (in the north of Guayaquil) with a group of women leaders of popular sectors. There, the candidate indicated that the role of Maria de Lourdes will be the same: to accompany him. “My wife will be what Ecuador has not had in the last ten years, the presence of the woman next to the President, to remind him every day the respect the Ecuadorian women deserve.”
