Hard questioning against Chevron accusers

An editorial titled “Banana republic vs. Chevron”, from the American newspaper Washington Times, published on December 26th, made serious questions about what they qualify as a “blatant and obscene robbery” refering to the lawyers behind the millionaire lawsuit against the U.S. company Chevron, even saying that the Ecuadorian President, Rafael Correa, “has being eager to dip into any legal tactic to keep those funds.”
Trough a note published by digital newspaper Ecuador Inmediato, it was reported that the editorial adds that U.S. litigants have waited anxiously to keep a part of what the oil trial leaves. “First, they allied to the government of Ecuador to find a judge of this banana republic who was willing to grant a judgment of $190,000 million for alleged environmental damage.”
According to the Washington Times the aim of the prosecuting attorneys of Chevron, which is based in San Ramon, California, is to find a court “to require the payment of this monumental number, which actually constitutes a blatant and obscene robbery, that, earlier this month (December) caused a member a member of the Ecuadorian legal team to defect”.
