Historic Final Open Australia
Serbian Novak Djokovic titled himself again as champion of the Australia Open after defeating the Spanish Rafael Nadal 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 6-7 (5) and 7-5 in a game of 5 hours and 53 minutes.
This Open is considered the longest Grand Slam in history, since it had one of the most thrilling finals in tennis.
“This is really the biggest victory in my career. It is also because Wimbledon is the tournament I always dreamed of winning, but this is incredible, winning after nearly 6 hours. When I heard that was the longest final in history began to cry,” said Djokovic of 24 years.
Meanwhile, the Spanish player said: “I’m not happy about losing, but losing in match like this is one of the most satisfying in my career. I had no doubt to be prepared to play a fifth set,” revealed the Spanish.
