Human Rights Watch.

This morning, a report from the Human Rights Watch organization (HRW) entitled “In Cold Blood,” documents the killing of a hundred people (mostly civilians carried out by forces loyal to the regime of Bashar al-Assad and regime thugs or “shabiha” since late 2011).

This document is based on testimony that the HRW obtained directly in the provinces of Idlib (north) and Homs (center), killing at least 85 Syrian civilians, including innocent children and women.

“In a desperate attempt to crush the revolt, the Syrian forces in cold blood running both civilians and rebel fighters (…) because they obviously do not care one day have to answer for their crimes,” the researcher Ole Solvang.

Human Rights Watch notes that “Syrian forces will halt these executions only if they feel they must answer for their acts” and stressed that Security Council urges the UN to refer the situation in Syria to the International Criminal Court and to impose the embargo arms and sanctions the regime of Al-Assad.
