Hundreds Shaved their Hair in Solidarity with Chavez

Hundreds of young evangelists shaved their hair as a sign of solidarity with the cancer suffered by Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela.

On Thursday, 10 young Dominicans did the same at home and they were welcomed today by Chavez in the Presidential Palace. This gesture motivated their Venezuelan counterparts to have the same gesture with his president.

The act called “Healing and thanksgiving ecumenical prayer” brought together government young supporters. In the event it was possible to heard shouts like “Chavez, friend, the Lord is with thee.”
