IESS will not pay its debt to the Panamericana clinic if it does not submit support information

The Chairman of the Board of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS) Richard Espinosa reported this morning that the institution began a new scheme of surgeries on weekends and holidays. For this reason, the annual goal is to reach 50,000 surgeries and outpatient visits. He added this will be applied to those who already had scheduled surgeries several months ago.
This system is voluntary for doctors who wish to work outside their working hours. At the momento, 295 doctors have joined this proposal, Espinosa said. He added that in this way the IESS reduces costs compared to what it might have to pay to private clinics.
