In 2035 there will be less poverty, says Bill Gates

The American billionaire Bill Gates, in an interview with Efe, predicted that in 2035 there will be less poor countries in the world and points out especially the progress in Latin America, where he believes there will be no poverty  in two decades , with the sole possible exception of Haiti.

Trough the annual letter from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, it was reported today, some attempts to disable three very common myths about the development aid: that poor countries are doomed to remain so; this aid is wasted in mismanagement and corruption, and to save lives in poor countries generates an excess of population.
In the document, Gates rejected them with arguments and facts all those myths and stated instead that “the world is improving”, although “in slow motion”, since the global image of poverty “has changed completely during the course of my life”.
Remember that extreme poverty has decreased in a few decades from 35% to 15% of the world’s population, demonstrating  that “is more important than ever, to measure results and explain the good news”.
