In Bangladesh, the collapse of a building left several dead and injured

Around 110 people were killed and 800 injured, is the balance that left the collapse that suffered in the early hours of the morning of the Rana Plaza building, which housed several factories near Dhaka, reported Salim Newaj, Deputy director of the fire brigade of the capital of Bangladesh.

According to The Daily Star newspaper,  firefighters, police and military personnel have managed to rescue some 100 people from the rubble, while relief efforts continue in search of survivors.

Newaj said that the number of victims who remain trapped in the rubble is unknown, but according to local media, some 2 000 people were inside when the building collapsed.

The police revealed that they had asked the owners of the building to not stop today activities in the complex altough a day before cracks had appeared in the building.
