With the opening of offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Zaragoza, in Spain, the new bank of the Pichincha Group, Pibank, intends to consolidate its new business model: 100% digital, but with personalized attention. The first branch opened in Bilbao, last June.
The bank serves its customers through telephone or videoconference and on social networks such as Twitter or WhatsApp.
According to a statement, there are no cash or paper or bank transactions in their offices. “We focus on a type of client that has transferred virtually all of its operations to mobile banking or the internet, but needs personal advice to contract mortgages, purchase homes or to achieve greater profitability for their savings,” explains Begoña Martínez, director general of Pibank.
The flagship product of Pibank, adds the executive, is the Payroll Account, which offers 0.50% nominal interest return to customers who deposit their salary and maintain an average monthly balance of more than 5,000 euros.
The institution indicated that in the next days it will present two more products: the credit card and the Pibank mortgage.
These services can be contracted through pibank.es or in your IOS or Android mobile app. In addition, the incorporation into payment systems with Apple Pay and Google Pay mobile phones is also planned.
Pibank is part of the transformation process initiated by the Pichincha Group to adapt to the changes. In addition to Ecuador, this financial group has a presence in Peru, Colombia, the US, Panama and Spain. It has 4 million customers. (I)
