IRS seizes Alvaro Noboa goods

With police and military officers, IRS officials arrived to Industrial Molinera and Banco del Litoral –both are companies of the Noboa Group- to notify the payment of a 98 million dollars debt that the businessman owes and to seize seven vehicles parked in the Bank. Afterwards the IRS mounted a military operative to kidnap five crop dusters, that where located in a hangar of the Guayaquil airport.

Maria Delia Aguirre, representative of Bananera Noboa, assured that she was surprised for the movement made by the Government, “to deliver a notification.” Through his Twitter account Noboa said, “The political persecution continues, Correa does not want to compete with me in the elections and now he pretends to seize Bananera Noboa.” Carrasco stated that the actions of kidnapping and seizing the goods along with the prohibition for Noboa to leave the country were legal. During the afternoon the businessman placed a link of a video called; “Alvaro Noboa and the Noboa Group do not owe taxes to the IRS.”

There he confirmed that the alleged debt that he has, is a lie to discredit him. “I am the citizen that personally pays the most taxes in the country and the Noboa Group is one of the groups that pays more taxes in Ecuador”, maintained Noboa. AV
