Ismael Garcia will go to the Venezuelan Prosecutor’s Office for controversial recording

Posted On 23 May 2013

According to the Ultimas Noticias Newspaper, opposition lawmaker Ismael Garcia, will go today to the Venezuelan Prosecutor’s Office to formally request the opening of the investigation due to the recording of an alleged conversation between Mario Silva, host of “La Hojilla” TV show and follower of Chavez, and Lieutenant Colonel Aramis Palacios, officer of the Cuban G-2.

The opposition lawmaker Andres Velasquez, who claims that the presented recording “is a real one,” would have warned the media about the intentions of lawmaker Garcia. Amid the controversy, Velasquez, also announced that “there is another recording … a much more terrible one.”

On his behalf, lawmaker Ismael Garcia ensures that Aramis Palacios left the country just when the controversial recording was exposed. Meanwhile, Mario Silva, said that he will leave his TV show over health issues.

Furthermore, Venezuelan opposition leader Henrique Capriles, claimed yesterday the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) to give a resolution on whether it supports challenges to the presidential elections of last April 14 or not, because according to him, the deadlines have already expired.
