Israel is the Meeting Point of Thousands of Pilgrims on Good Friday

The Via Crucis on Good Friday takes place on the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem (Israel), today April 6th, 2012.
Thousands of Catholic pilgrims, clergymen, and tourists are in town to participate in the Holy Week celebrations.
There are Catholic nuns and pilgrims carrying heavy wooden crosses on their shoulders, representing Jesus’ burden, while he was being led to his death.
Believers praying and lighting candles at the Altar of the Crucifixion, where tradition places the crucifixion of Jesus and that is within the Church of the Holy Sepulcher; and even we can see a play of Jesus as he heads to the crucifixion. (ARL)
