On Tuesday, the International Trade Commission of the United States (ITC) banned the sale and import of certain older Apple devices, for alleged patent violation of its rival, Samsung.

The commission reported that through its website it was published a “limited exclusion order” for some Apple devices such as mobile iPhone 3 and 4 plus the iPad and iPad 2 tablets. This instance can be requested from the Court of Appeals or even reversed by a presidential decree.

Apple was not available to respond immediately to the response requests of the AFP.

This case began in 2011, where both companies  accused each other of violation of patents for technology used in smartphones and tablets.
