Jorge Glas Viejo will undergo DNA test

Jorge Glas Viejo, accused of raping a child under 13 years, and who supposedly has a son of more than a year, broke the silence today to report that he’ll submitt himself to a DNA test to prove his innocence.

Glas Viejo said that through genetic testing he would demonstrate that he does not has any relationship with the alleged victim. “I have asked that the arrest warrant against me be dismissed in order to go to court and do the DNA test,” said Glas.

In the same investigation, the girl’s mother said that the version they gave was because they had been offered a settlement. However, in his statement, Glas Viejo also questioned her. “With whom I had improper relations was with the girl’s mother, Esperanza Mendoza Rodriguez“.

The lawyers claimed that in the coming days they would finalize the document to carry out the DNA test. According to the lawyers of the accused there are contradictions in the versions of the girl and her mother.

In a video of almost three minutes Glas Viejo publicly defends himself against the charges against him. The video was presented by his lawyers but they did not specify when or where it was recorded.
