Judge states that `Loca´ by Shakira is plagiarized

Federal Judge Alvin Hellerstein of New York, has determined that the song `Loca´ by Colombian singer Shakira, is a plagiarism of the original theme` Loca con su tíguere’, writen by Dominican Ramon Arias Vazquez, and performed by Edward Bello Pou `the Cata’ whose rights are held by the producer Mayimba Music.

`Mayimba has established that Loca con su tiguere by Bello and the Spanish version of Loca by Shakira are illegal copies of a song whose rights owns Mayimba in violation of the laws of intelectual property,’ stated Hallerstein, who also orders the parties sit down to negotiate.
