Judges of Pichincha Condemned Director of Diario Hoy

The director of newspaper Diario Hoy, Jaime Mantilla Anderson, was sentenced to three months of imprisonment and the payment of a $25 fine.
The trial was performed by a demand imposed by Pedro Delgado Campaña in 2009 due to defamation. The Tenth Court of Criminal Guarantees ordered that the sentenced be carried in a Provisional Center of Detainment for Men in the city of Quito.
The Judicial Police of Pichincha has orders to locate immediately and capture Mantilla so that the sentence is carried out. (AV)
