Karina de Pozo case is still under process

Llano Chico ravine is investigated by criminology officers

With another demonstration relatives and friends of Karina del Pozo, began gathering from 08h00 outside the Calderon Surveillance Unit, where the audience will be supporting prosecutor opinion against the five suspects in the murder of the young model from Quito.

The calls to the demonstration began last Friday through social networks and emails. “Let us join our shoulders and demand justice for Karina,” read the message.

Karina del Pozo disappeared last February 19 and her body was found eight days later in a ravine in the Llano Chico area, outskirts of Quito.

Today will be the general audience in the Eleventh Criminal court located in Marianitas in Carapungo. The prosecutor Vicente Reinoso will indicate the degree of involvement of each of the suspects.

The suspects, David Pina, Manuel Salazar, Jose Sevilla and Nicolas Leon accompanied Karina in her last hours. They were at a party in Quito. Three of the detainees would be the prime suspects in the investigation process. In this proceeding the prosecutor will reveal all the details and give its opinion, the judge ultimately will decide whether or not they are called to trial.
