Kings of Belgium said goodbye to executive authorities

On Monday, King Albert II of Belgium and his wife Paola, said goodbye to the members of the Government of their country, during a lunch held at the Royal Palace in Laeken, headed by the prime minister.
During the event, several members of the Executive highlighted the work of the King, who helped in the improving of the country during a severe crisis. They highlighted the historic moment in Belgium and their appreciation of the work of Albert II.
Next Monday, members of the State will repeat the meeting, this time greeted by Prince Philip, who on July 21 will be crowned king right after the abdication of his father, after twenty years of reign.
The King of Belgium is the third monarch who has abdicated in favor of his son, this year; after Sophia from the Netherlands did it for Prince Willem and the sheik Hamad bin Jalifa Al Thani, Emir of Quatar, for his son Tamim.
