“Lagartija” is free thanks to Habeas Corpus

Yesterday afternoon was released the Emelec fan, Byron Velasquez Briones, better known as “Lagartija”, after being confined in the Litoral penitentiary in Guayaquil for 23 days.

“Lagartija” left the detention center accompanied by his lawyer, Hernan Ulloa, family and friends, direct to the Provincial Court of the Guayas to thank the judges of the First Civil Chamber  by accept the writ of habeas corpus filed by his counsel.

Velasquez was arrested after being the author of the firing of death at the head of the fan of Barcelona,  George Michael Murillo Leon, Sunday, November 4th at the last National Unity Bridge hours before the shipyard classic.

“Freedom is the most precios thing that human have, being prisoner for something that you have not committed is unfair;” need to find the real murderer”, said Byron Velasquez.
