Land Law should be technical, not political, according to Roboam Gavilanez

Farmer-producer Roboam Gavilanez, in an interview with Ecuavisa, said he never had the opportunity to share his technical criteria in the socialization of the new land law. The proposal says that latifundia and small latifundia shall be eliminated, he then asks: What are they talking about?
Gavilanez cited examples that include the request of sugar mills that need between 10,000 and 30,000 hectares to produce. According to the farmer, the country needs a highly technical law that provides the structure necessary for the agricultural map of Ecuador to sow, produce and export.
