Lawyer of Legal Expert accused of changing names denounces his client was “pressured.”

Luis Valladares, the defense lawyer of Corporal Jose Fuentes, a police expert who transcribed one of the recordings delivered by the Odebrecht informers, reported that his client was “pressured” to modify the report. He noted that the expert would not have been able to amend the content of the recording.
According to the prosecutor of the case Claudia Romero, the military would have changed a name in the following fragment of the recording:
“… But I knew that (name changed) is asking for money, asking for money, a lot of money for him …”
Fuentes has been detained since the early hours of July 25, 2017, accused of procedural fraud, but Valladares dismissed the prosecution against the expert (I).
