Lenin Moreno dismisses minister after altercation with farmers

The president of the Republic of Ecuador, Lenin Moreno, has dismissed the newly minister in charge of Agriculture, Mariuxi Gómez Torres, after a video was disseminated in networks where the biologist breaks a list of demands that would have made her in a meeting agricultures of Taura.

The disposition of Moreno with character of “immediate”, is made according to a communication of the Secretary of Communication, by the “unacceptable behavior” of Gómez in front of the farmers of the country.

The attitude of Gómez recalls, “unfortunately” the arrogance of the government of Rafael Correa, indicates the Secretariat, where he adds that such reactions do not go hand in hand with “our principles of dialogue, tolerance and respect.” (I)
