London is not Going to Extradite Assange Without Guarantees

“Claims that Julian Assange could be sentenced to death in a possible extradition to the U.S. are unfounded”, said the Foreign Minister of the United Kingdom, William Hague.

Hague said the United Kingdom and Sweden would demand human rights guarantees in case hat the U.S. threatens the Australian with a trial.

“As we have discussed with the government of Ecuador, the UK and Sweden seek to implement and adhere to the highest standards on human rights protection,” said Hague.

Hague also called for further meetings with Ecuador to resolve the dispute. (MZ)
