Luis “the Cannibal” Suarez is Suspended
This Monday, Luis Suarez, the Uruguayan striker from Ajax was suspended from two games, after biting the player from PSV Eindhoven, Otman Bakkal on the Saturday match. The incident occurred when the striker of Ajax, Rasmus Lindgren was expelled, immediately Suarez approached Bakkal and bit him in the neck.
The sanction took effect immediately after the Tuesday match between Ajax and Real Madrid, since the referee didn’t see the biting Suarez wasn’t expelled. The team explained that Suarez wouldn’t be playing two games of the Dutch League. Suarez also received a penalty, but the quantity wasn’t divulged.
The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf called Suarez “The Cannibal” of Ajax on this Monday edition and demanded his sanction by the Dutch Soccer Federation. However at the end of the game, Bakkal had no hard feelings and gave a hug to the Uruguayan biter.
