During an interview the former Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva confirmed that he will be a presidential candidate for the upcoming elections in Brazil 2014 in case that the current president, Dilma Rousseff desists for the reelection.
When the former president gave his first interview after the doctors called him free of cancer of the larynx. Lula said that such possibility is a long shot since, in his opinion, with the high popularity that Rousseff has she has all the conditions for reelection.
Lula pointed out that after overcoming his disease, he will dedicate himself to support the candidatures of the members of the political Party of Workers (PT for its Spanish acronym) in the municipal elections on October. (AV)
