Machado could not enter the Assembly and will request the return of her charge
Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, dismissed from her position as deputy last week in a controversial measure, could not entering to the National Assembly this tuesday such as aspired to do it and announced that will request a writ of amparo to recover her position.
This Tuesday, after the denial of entering to the Assembly, Machado affirmed that will go to the Supreme Court to seek remedy of protection to overturn her dismissal, although that same court determined the legality of the action against her.
“Thus there is no rule of law in Venezuela, we go to Supreme Court to seek remedy for defense because we must exhaust all ways,” Machado told BBC World.
Last week, through a controversial procedure, the President of the Assembly, the officialist Diosdado Cabello dismissed Machado arguing that Congresswoman had committed a crime by accepting a charge from the Government of Panama.
