The National Assembly President, Fernando Cordero, told the media today, in Legislature Plenum, that the Media Bill will be voted tomorrow.
The plenum approved a request proposing the bill to be voted article by article, with 63 votes in favor, 50 against and 11 abstentions. This will lengthen the process, since the project has 127 articles and 20 transitional provisions.
President of the Ocassional Comission of Communication of the Legislative, Mauro Andino, pointed out that if this bill gets approved, “the democratization of communication will be possible”. (MZ)
